Powerful conversations to unlock your potential

Executive coaching is all about achieving long-lasting change and a step-change in results.

This might be change in how you feel about a situation.

Change in your skills or knowledge.

Change in your impact as a a leader.

Change in the results you’re achieving.

Change that you make happen in your organisation.

And change that you make happen in the wider world.

Executive coaching comprises a series of powerful and life-changing conversations delivered with skill and care.

Graham was very useful in helping me negotiate my way through some tricky strategy, personnel and relationship issues. It was particularly useful that he was able to tailor his approach to my preferred style, and respond quickly when I needed some urgent support. I would recommend Graham as a coach to any senior manager looking for a patient and challenging coach.

Partnering with leaders and their teams to rapidly improve performance

Team leaders often struggle with a tension that they feel between focus on Results and focus on Relationships. This can stop them from tackling the issues that are getting in the way of performance.

I’ve coached over 50 teams over the last 10 years. Every team is different, so my approach is always tailored to the team.

But without exception, I’ve found that if teams get the focus on results right, and start to achieve successes together, that creates a great platform for building high-trust, collaborative relationships. I help teams make this happen quickly.

Working with a team coach helps create that virtuous circle where relationships are reinforced by achieving great things together - which then creates a strong base for future success.

With Graham, we achieved far more than I’d expected from team coaching. After each session we were focused on our priorities... he worked really well with us and kept us focused and working well together.

Ensuring you appoint and on-board the best leaders for your mission-critical roles

I use competency-based interviews and psychometrics to get a detailed picture of candidates’ capability and potential

The process starts with gaining a thorough understanding of the target role and the context.

Depending on your requirements I can assist you with the creation of the competency model, or I can work with a robust competency model that you’ve already defined.

After the assessments I’ll help you with the process of selecting the best candidate for the role.

I can also help with the all-important on-boarding of your selected candidate, ensuring they add value in their new role as quickly as possible, and maximising their chances of success.

Ensuring your Board has the right frameworks, governance, processes and culture to provide effective leadership and stewardship

For Board Effectiveness work I partner with a small team of lawyers who specialise in Corporate Governance. We’ll measure and benchmark your Board using Enhanced Leadership’s proprietary framework.

We use our survey as well as semi-structured interviews with your Chair, Committee Chairs other Board members and select members of the Executive Committee. Alongside this the lawyers will undertake a review of your governance documents and will have a deep-dive interview with your General Counsel and Board Secretariat.

We will produce a comprehensive report and will lead your Board through an action-planning session. This session is practical, focusing on the changes your Board can make to have an immediate impact. We’ll also work with your Chair and GC around recommended changes to the Governance.

Subsequent sessions with the Board typically focus on their development as a team and as stewards of the Organisational Culture.

The Board Review process gave us a much-needed external view on how we were working and where we urgently needed to improve... it gave us some things we could take action on immediately and it forced us to have some important conversations that we wouldn’t have had otherwise.
